Charlotte McGuire Education Scholarship Programs - Undergraduate and Graduate Nursing Students Awards
The Charlotte McGuire Scholarship Program (CMGSP) was established in 1986 through a gracious gift to the American Holistic Nurses Association. Named in honor of the AHNA founder, Charlotte McGuire, the Charlotte McGuire Scholarship Program is made possible through the generous tax deductible donations of AHNA members, friends and benefactors. Since 1987, the program has offered academic scholarships to undergraduate or graduate students in need of assistance to help them through their holistic nursing growth and education. These awards are presented at AHNA's annual conference in June each year. More than $50,000 has been awarded since the program began.

Application packets may be downloaded or are available throughout the year from AHNA National Office. Completed applications must be returned by April 15 of the year for which the scholarship is awarded. Applications received after April 15 will not be considered. No materials will be returned to the applicant. The application includes:
All applications are reviewed by members of the Charlotte McGuire Scholarship Program Committee. The committee is composed of active AHNA members, one of whom is a chair appointed by the Board of Directors. Selection criteria have been approved by the Board of Directors. Scholarship recipients will be notified each year in May. All recipients are encouraged to attend the national AHNA conference to receive their awards.
Amount of Scholarships
The Scholarship Program is supported by donations from AHNA members, friends and benefactors. Final determination is made by the Board of Directors.
